JoeCo BBR64-DANTE
Live 64 Channels Dante Recorder
The BBR64-DANTE following the tried, tested and award winning series of BLACKBOX RECORDERS by JoeCo expands the recording and replay up to 64 channels of audio data from a Dante network using standard Broadcast WAV files. Where at the same time, it provides a computer-free, high quality solution for multi-channel live audio capture. It can capture up to 64 channels of audio at 44.1kHz and 48kHz directly to Broadcast WAV files on an external USB2 (FAT32 formatted) drive.
The BBR64-DANTE connects to any Dante-enabled network device from a range of console and converter manufacturers including Allen&Heath, Yamada, MIDAS, DiGiGo and Focusrite (just to name few). Designed to support standard network components and switches, it can also record 8 channels of analogue (balanced line in) alongside 56 channels of Dante for capturing audience and ambience.
The recorder will lock to or generate word clock, as well as locking to the incoming Dante audio stream. Individual channels or pairs of channels can be monitored on an internal PFL bus providing both hi-resolution metering and headphone output.
As a conclusion, the BBR64-DANTE can cover a huge range of expectations including:
- 64-channel record or playback at 44.1kHz and 48kHz
- Connects to any Dante-enabled network device from a range of console and converter manufacturers
- Records standard broadcast WAV files to an external USB2 drive. Captured audio material can be imported into any digital workstation for instant re-purposing. No file transfer necessary
- PFL bus for monitoring individual / pairs of channels, providing both hi-resolution metering and headphone monitoring
- Safe'n'Sound Record Recovery protects files in case of power failure
- Files can be time-stamped with respect to incoming timecode
- Remote control via QWERTY keyboard, MIDI, Sony 9-pin
